Wallpaper is one thing that we have been selling like crazy lately. I have to admit, I kinda have a thing for it and most of my clients think I know what I'm talking about, so they go along with my advice.
From modern to traditional, there is a wallpaper for everyone! First of all, it is easy to transform an entire room, with just one focal wall.
I love the look of contemporary mixed in with a warm, natural wood finish or even the warmer wood tones. Your wallpaper can either blend in with your décor or make a bold statement!
My favorite wallpaper job so far has been the black/silver and white combo on the left. This wallpaper called "Modern Petals" from York Wallcoverings, is from the Candace Olsen design line. This is an actual picture of a clients home that was just completed last week. I chose this wallpaper for her because she loves black! I wanted the wallpaper to be modern, but I also wanted it to have a feminine feel. We only did one wall, but it was all we needed in this 10x10 guest bedroom. The client called me later that night to tell me again how much she loved the wallpaper, she couldn't get over the joy it brought her!
If your room is missing something, or if you find you don't spend time in a particular room, it's probably because there is nothing drawing you to stay. Rooms are so important, and can affect your mood every time you walk in there.
Lastly, I think a focal wall with wallpaper for a child's room is the perfect idea for their young, constant changing styles. It gives the room some style, but not so much that its too overbearing.
So, now go and wallpaper a wall! If you don't trust yourself-hire a professional! There are a few steps and some prior knowledge is definitely helpful.
I'm going to leave this post by quoting one of my customers when I asked them what style they were trying to achieve in a particular room. She finished it by saying "I just want to see something that makes me smile everytime I enter the room"..
