The old is so New! How I love using old items and mixing them in with new items. I believe your décor is a big part of your personality. Every home tells a story. The colors, décor and furniture are all part of that person's story. Now on to my point....Pallets have been on my list for a while. I started using them last year as a way to display our store items. We recently added clothing to our store so we used the pallets again and.....
Now, I think it looks pretty stylish if you ask me!!
Pallets are an easy way and cheap (I was on a budget) to display items. It didn't cost a dime, and since I have propped against a wall, I can easily move it somewhere else.
On a budget? Or looking for unique furniture? Make your own! This bedroom now looks simple and chic.
One piece of advice I always give my clients when I'm decorating, is to NEVER buy the entire set of anything! So in other words, do not buy the matching sofa, loveseat, end tables, coffee tables, etc. One reason is that this screams "I just bought the whole set because I saw it set up that way", or "I can't figure out how to put my own spin on my home"...This is not bad, it's usually just not a true reflection of someone's personality. If you ever look in design magazines such as House Beautiful or Elle Décor, you hardly ever see a matching set of furniture. Each piece has been uniquely sought after, or custom made for that room. Now we can't all afford to have custom made furniture, but you can add unique pieces together to make a room look finished-and more importantly like YOU!
